For four years (2018-2022), I worked as a graduate assistant editor at Emory’s Center for Faculty Development and Excellence (CFDE). Supported by the Office of the Provost, the CFDE serves faculty across all nine schools of Emory University in the areas of teaching, research, and professional development. Our funding opportunities, programs, and resources are all designed to assist faculty at every level of their careers.
Each week, I worked with the amazing Allison Adams, Associate Director, Research and Scholarly Writing, to circulate Thoughtwork, a weekly electronic bulletin of emerging knowledge and news in Emory’s intellectual community.
This work as an editor has opened many doors for me, including the realm of freelance editing, which I have been doing for the past year and a half. I’ve worked with both academic and creative writers alike, offering editing services to help get their work closer to publication. If you’re interested in these services, please contact me via email.
